The journey of CAVITRD from humble beginnings to making a lasting impact
CAVITRD began in Mwanza, where a group of caregivers, community leaders, and health workers saw how children with disabilities were being left behind. From a few small meetings and outreach sessions, we grew into a recognized organization.
CAVITRD was founded by a group of dedicated healthcare professionals and community leaders in Mwanza who recognized the urgent need for specialized care for children and adults with disabilities.
Officially registered as a Tanzanian NGO with Registration number 14NGO/R/4896, marking the beginning of our formal operations and expanded reach.
Conducted our first surgical outreach camps in remote Lake Zone communities, providing life-changing procedures to those who had no access to specialized healthcare.
Our story continues with every village we reach, every family we support, and every child we help thrive. We have now impacted thousands of lives across the Lake Zone region.
From humble beginnings to making a lasting impact, our journey continues. Be part of our story as we work to transform more lives across Tanzania.
